General ophthalmology examination

This examination consists of determining visual acuity using a subjective method and using an autokerator refractometer, examining the front eye segment with a slit lamp with special emphasis on inflammation and cataracts, and examining the background of the eye, including the optic nerve, blood vessels and the macula, i.e. the macula. In addition to this, an examination of the eye pressure is performed using the applanation method. In case of specific needs, other diagnostic methods are also used. The examination is completely painless, and after the examination it is possible to drive a car. The duration of the examination is 20-30 minutes. This type of examination is always used as the first examination in our practice.
